Download an Entire Instagram Profile

An Instagram profile downloader lets you save accessible posts and Reels from one account without opening every post. With BulkDownloader for Chrome, use your logged-in Instagram session, choose a profile tab and download media to your computer. Posts and Reels are separate tasks. It is free to start.

The BulkDownloader installation guide for Chrome covers manual setup, extension updates, Instagram sign-in, and help with account or download issues.

What you can download from a profile

Posts and Reels

Posts include photos, videos and the main media inside carousel posts. Reels use the profile’s dedicated Reels tab. Choose All to collect accessible content from the current tab, Range for numbered positions, or manual selection for particular items. All does not mean every kind of content belonging to that account.

Photos only, videos only, or both are free filters. Image and video quality each offer maximum available, standard 720 and data saver 480 options. Available source versions determine the actual dimensions; a quality setting is not a guarantee of original files or a fixed file size.

Tagged and Reposts

Tagged and Reposts are supported as separate profile tabs, with All, Range and manual selection for computer downloads. They are not included automatically in a Posts or Reels task. Their media may belong to other authors; access does not grant permission to reuse it.

This guide covers Posts and Reels. The Highlights guide covers downloading a Highlight collection. Learn what it means to download Instagram Series; select whole series and save their episodes to your computer. A dedicated Stories guide is Coming soon. You can download your Instagram Saved posts in a separate workflow, including supported collection selection. Saved downloads only cover your own logged-in account.

How it works

  1. Install and sign in to Instagram

Follow the Chrome installation instructions, then open Instagram while logged in. Free downloads to your computer do not require a BulkDownloader product account. You do not need desktop software, Python or an exported cookie file.

  2. Open the target profile

Go to the account you want to collect and open Posts or Reels. You must already be able to view the content through your Instagram session. Private-account access rules still apply.

  3. Choose the tab, scope and quality

Open the extension’s download panel. Select All, Range or manual selection, then choose photos, videos or both and the image/video quality. A Range selects content positions; a carousel can produce several files from one position.

  4. Choose a date range

Choose custom start and end dates, or use the last 7 days or last 30 days preset for a recent window. Date selection is distinct from Range, which selects content positions.

  5. Choose a destination and check the result

Save individual files or ZIP output to your computer, or connect Google Drive as the destination. Sync only new posts after setting up tracking for the profile. Keep the Instagram source page open until the task finishes; closing the extension popup does not cancel it. Reopen the popup to review saved, failed or unconfirmed files.

Is it free?

Free to start. Paid plans add custom dates, Google Drive saving and syncing only new posts.

Why not a website downloader?

A link-based website can be convenient for one post. For a whole account, tools that return only a recent batch leave you repeating the same steps. A Chrome extension works from the profile you already have open and can collect successive source pages within the chosen scope.

BulkDownloader uses your logged-in browser session rather than asking you to paste credentials into a download website. It does not remove Instagram restrictions, guarantee protection from Instagram throttling, or retrieve content you cannot access. Download only media you have permission to save and use. BulkDownloader is not affiliated with Instagram or Meta.

Frequently asked questions

Can I download all posts from an Instagram account?

Choose All on the profile’s Posts tab to collect the accessible posts from that tab. This is useful when you want to download all photos from an Instagram account without selecting each post. Completion still depends on Instagram access, source availability and successful file output; check the task result for failures.

Does it download Reels with the profile?

Reels are supported through the profile’s Reels tab. Start a separate task there after downloading Posts. One All action does not combine both tabs, and the same media may appear in both. This is not a promise to retrieve deleted, unavailable or inaccessible videos.

Do I need to share my Instagram password?

No. Sign in to Instagram in Chrome as usual. You do not give BulkDownloader your Instagram password or export session cookies. The extension reads content through the browser session you already use; it does not grant access to private profiles you cannot view.

Is there a free Instagram profile downloader?

Free to start. The free plan includes weekly usage limits; paid plans (coming soon) remove them.

Can I choose custom dates for posts?

Yes. Choose custom start and end dates for Posts and Reels. You can also use the last 7 days or last 30 days preset for a recent window; these presets include today in the task’s selected time zone. For repeat visits, set up tracking for that profile, then sync to collect posts added since its saved baseline.

Do I need a BulkDownloader account?

No product account is required for free computer downloads. You do need a logged-in Instagram browser session.
